I was contacted by Mike Lowe of ML Media and he asked if I'd like to be a featured blogger for the Manchester City Marathon! I'm wicked excited! I'll do my best to not bore you.
Today was my first official day of training for the half marathon and it didn't go as planned. My Garmin wasn't charged, my Garmin didn't do my intervals for whatever reason, it was 93% humidity and I saw a frog get squished by a car. My left leg has been bothering me a bit so the last half of my three miles I pretty much walked. It sucked, but here's to a new week ahead!
To be honest, I think my all my times were pretty crappy this week. I had a difficult week at work this week and I think it just carried over to my runs. I stopped a lot to walk and got very frustrated. I did pretty decent in yoga though, I do feel a lot stronger since I started a few months ago. The instructors at One Heart Yoga are the best!
My schedule and times this week were:
Monday: Two miles 26:35 and yoga in the evening
Tuesday: Rest
Wed: Yoga in the evening
Thurs: Rest
Friday: Two miles 24:21
Sat: Yoga in the morning
Sun: Three miles 41:15
I'm trying hard to work on my diet as usual. I'm do pretty well, but getting those fruits and veggies in are always a challenge.

So, that is pretty much it for this week. My coach, Lou Ann, from Off To Run Personal Training will be sending me my training this week for my half marathon. I'm looking forward to seeing my schedule for the next couple of months and getting out for some long runs!
Sounds like you are doing fabulous and the site re-design looks fab!!
