Our ten year anniversary was on Halloween and we had a great day. I woke up to breakfast in bed beautiful flowers. Matt woke up to beef jerky. That's true love, folks.
We both had the day off so we were able to sleep in and then enjoyed a 90 minute massage. OK, so before I continue, I don't know which jackass told me to get a deep tissue massage ten days before my marathon but don't do it. I have things rattling around now that I didn't even know hurt! Good lord! I will never do that again! Anyway, after our massage we ate a light lunch at Panera and got the cutest cookie!
Matt always likes to hand out candy to the kids, so we our dinner reservations weren't til 9pm. We hung out out on the porch, listened to a hockey game and discussed how kids these days are greedy little bastards. We told the kids to take one (we wanted to have enough candy for the neighborhood...duh) and the would either not listen or pretend not to have heard us. One kid told me that we was trick or treating for his mom.....really?
After treat or treaters, we headed to Ruth Chris's and it was amazing. We ordered calamari, lobster bisque, wine, steak, garlic potatoes and dessert. After dinner, we watched our wedding video from ten years ago, and it was really long, but fun to watch. We had a great day!
Congrats, Jen!! 10 years is a great accomplishment - here's wishing you 10, 20, 30 more!!! Enjoy!
