Reliving The Past

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! We had such a fun weekend! We pretty much lived and breathed hockey all weekend. The Canes were celebrating their 10th anniversary of their Stanley Cup win and they celebrated by bringing in some the team, having a whole bunch festivities and memorabilia on display all weekend long. They had the Stanley Cup on hand, but we already had a picture with it from ten years ago.

Our friend Steve from college and his son came in and we went to see the Canes vs Pens game on Friday night. It was Steve's son first hockey game and he had a blast. He was so well behaved and lasted through all three periods, overtime and a shootout. Unfortunately, the Canes lost, but they had fun cheering on the Pens.

Jess and Ryan were nice enough to get us tickets with them on Saturday night and we had a great time. We got there early so Jess and I could get a tenth anniversary signed pucks. We both got Rod Brind'Amour which is cool because he was the captain of the team back then.

Before the game they had a ceremony celebrating the 2006 team. It was so great to see some of the members of the team on the ice with the cup again. The game was fantastic and thankfully, we won. After the game, we went down to the ice and got to take pictures with our banners. Jess and I wore the same jerseys we wore ten years ago to the game.

Congrats to Kaella Carr! She won my Color my Run coloring book, thanks to everyone to entered!

Hope everyone has a great Valentine's Day!
