Angels Among Us 5K

We have been running the Angels Among Us 5K at Duke for many years for family and friends that have battled brain cancer. We formed a team in 2011 called Take That Tumors! and have raised thousands of dollars for brain cancer research. We also have been lucky enough to be sponsored by Matheson Law Office for the past few years.

We got up bright and early on Saturday and headed to Duke. We all stood around chatting until the race started. This 5K is always fun because it is for all levels of runners AND walkers and our team had a wide range.

I ran with my friend, Jess, and I think we did great. We hit all our intervals, even with all the hills! Our official time was 44:46, not my best time, not my worse. I think it is pretty good because I barely ran in March.
