Marathon training has gotten a lot harder thanks to my thyroid...well, I guess lack there of since I don't have one....but anyway, my labs have bottomed out. I'm exhausted, I'm grouchy and I'm gaining a couple of POUNDS A WEEK. Running, walking and trying to fit in my clothes is becoming increasing difficult. I've gained all the weight I lost since March and more. I'm trying to stay positive and move ahead. Luckily, I have an appointment with my endocrinologist tomorrow afternoon and hopefully, I'll be back on track soon...otherwise I'll be wearing muumuus from now on.
I ran 10 miles last Saturday and will be doing 12 this Saturday. I'm hoping this long run will be cooler than they have been. Here are a few shots from my run on Saturday:

In other really cool news, I sent a message to Injini about my socks that got holes in the bottom of my feet after only four runs and they replaced them! I was super excited bc I LOVE these socks bc I get no blisters after long runs.
. Matt has been running with me...ok, he drives to the park with me and than takes off with his stupid 7 minute miles or his stupid bike that is faster than me. Matt FINALLY got a new pair of running shoes, the last pair were from 2009.
In truly disturbing news, my little toe nail on my left foot is falling off. This is my first one since I starting running in 2009. I'm going to leave it alone and hope that somehow it magically attaches it self back to my little piggie. The only question is....who is getting it?
Ok, well, I'm going to eat some dinner. I will end this blog with pictures of my dogs bc they are the best.
I lost my first toenail after my last half marathon in January 2012...it was pretty anticlimactic actually. LOL All I have to say is thank GOD for nail polish!!! :-)
