4th of July

It has been a rough week, but I think I back to normal. Tough week at work, tough week with lack of marathon training, tough week trying to eat well....just a craptastic week in general. I've eaten A LOT of sugar and now I'm obsessed with these jelly beans:

I officially signed up for the Marshall University Marathon! I'm very nervous, but I'm gonna work hard. I've got a solid plan and as long as I stick to it, I should be prepared. I just have to stay motivated.

Matt went running with me on Saturday and we completed five miles. It wasn't a lot of fun at all. It was hot, humid and I complained the entire time. I have never been so happy to stop running and I'm betting Matt won't run with me next weekend-haha. I wish I would've taken an after picture, bc I was not happy at all. The picture signifies day one of marathon training.

Julie and Dani are doing a 30 Day Challenge and I've got everything together and organized. I've incorporated my marathon training with it, so it's going to work out great. I've also decided to do a 30 day ab and pushup challenge as well. I've already completed the ab and push up challenge for today, my leg lifts and got on my bike for twenty minutes.

I've also decided to get certified in medical billing so I'll be studying for the next four months. I was also looking at a Criminal Justice program, but I decided to go with billing for now. I'm hoping to get started soon, but I have to figure out where we are going to get the money from-haha. Fingers crossed!

Jager turned nine on the 4th of July, but Jager hasn't been too great lately. His sugars are still out of whack and we have been taking his blood sugar, it's still in the high 300's. I will tell you that trying to take his blood sugar isn't the easiest thing in the world, and he doesn't like it either. I hope he feels better soon.

We headed out to Durham for the 4th of July with a bunch of friends and it was a blast. We went to Mellow Mushroom and then headed to the Durham Bulls game for the last couple of innings. We got to watch the fireworks for the first time in years and it was great. Baby Stella was so good through out the whole thing, and even looked bored towards the end. Julie and Moseley are lucky to have such a well behaved baby!

So, that's it! I'm looking forward to a better week and hope you all have a great week as well! Oh and thanks to Christine Seib for making this to help with my marathon training. I LOVE it!
