Fevers, Vomiting and Cramping...Oh My!

Yeah, my weekend went to crap when I suddenly got sick at work on Thursday. It really came out of nowhere and it wasn't pretty. All I did this week was watch Bones, football and eat Ramen noodles.

My sixteen miler did not happen and I feel anxiety every time I think about it. I wanted to run three today but Matt wasn't having it. I will start back up tomorrow and readjust my Sat long runs. 16 miles will just have to wait another week or two.

I'm not going to lie and say that I'm feeling prepared for this marathon, bc I'm not. I'm watching my weight like a hawk and I swear to the universe that if I gain another ounce, I will kill someone. I'm getting heavier and slower and it is freaking me out bc I DO NOT want to be disqualified for being out on the course all day. I want my medal and my marathon jacket!

I'm getting pretty determined since falling ill, so I've got a nice nutritional plan going on and I got this yoga dvd to start this week:

Fun fact about me: I can't touch my toes. Embarrassing. I should make it a goal to accomplish by the end of the year. Huh, which is sadder, the fact that I can't touch my toes or that I actually have a goal for touching my toes by the end of the year?

Here's to a healthier week!

I LOVE lazy Sundays. I'm relaxing on the couch watching old "Girls Nextdoor" DVDs, reading magazines and watching for some playoff hockey to start.

I got three great workouts in this weekend and feeling great. Clothes are already feeling looser since last week.

Today's workout was:

I haven't had chocolate in a week and so far, so good. No cravings so far, but it's still VERY early.

Oh and great news! Two nights in a row with NO JOINT PAIN! I'm thrilled!

Shout out to my two great friends, Julie and Jess, for completing a half marathon this weekend! I'm so impressed with your hard work and dedication. WAY TO GO!
